I was born in Logan, Utah and lived in the small community of Beaver Dam, Utah until I was five. At the time, my father was transferred to Preston, Idaho where I lived until I graduated from high school. I attended Utah State University studying instrumental music and computer information systems.
I served as a missionary for my church for two years in Kentucky and Tennessee. It was there I grew to appreciate good country style home cooking. Since, I quickly realized I liked cooking and eating much more than I enjoyed anything else. I jumped into food service full time. I spent some time working as a manager for major restaurants in our area before purchasing my own restaurant.
For the past twenty years we have lived in the Marsh Valley area. I have continued in the food business, developing my catering business and working as a restaurant consultant. Each fall I take a couple weeks off to work as a camp chef for the Pocatello Cattleman's Association and the Big Onion Cattleman's Association, for their annual cattle round-ups. For those few weeks I am the most popular person in camp. |
