In 1999 as a member of the California Historical Trail Wagon Train, I traveled as camp cook. Seldom in a person's life is one able to take such an adventure. Bart (on Right) the other cook, doubles as an oxen wrangler. They are shoeing an ox. |
Kids and leaders from Kansas School for the Blind. They ate with us and rode in the wagons one morning. |

It was my responsibility along with crew members Lindsay, Torey, Jon, and Kelly to prepare appetizing and nutritious meals for the participants of the wagon train. It was difficult keeping the more than 50 people happy with the vittles, but we were up to the challenge. |
